Position Description:

The Senior Business Analyst plans and provides analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, business management techniques, and organizational development. Key responsibility includes: Providing recommendations, contributing and preparing briefings for business, management, technology, operational processes and procedures. These functions include business process analysis to describe and create defined business and operations controls and processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and technical teams, to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop detailed use cases, process flows, and functional specifications to communicate requirements effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and scalability.
  • Identify potential risks, constraints, and dependencies in solution development and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth or operational improvements.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence business strategies and support decision-making processes.
  • Support project managers in planning, tracking, and delivering projects by providing clear documentation and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, operations, and finance, to drive project success.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and manage change requests to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Identify areas for process optimization and lead initiatives to implement streamlined workflows and practices.
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to stakeholders on process changes or new system implementations.
  • Support organizational change management efforts by ensuring smooth adoption of new tools, systems, or processes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, offering insights and recommendations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, deliverables, and outcomes.
  • Ensure that business requirements and solutions adhere to industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Conduct testing and validation to verify that solutions meet business needs and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Document and track any deviations, issues, or improvements for future reference and continuous enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience in in general program/project management and\or Specialist contributor support.
  • At least 4+ years in consulting or government contracting environment
  • Bachelors Degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required, Masters preferred
  • Certification in Program/Project Management (e.g., Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), Project+ (CompTIA)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Innovative; thinks outside of box in delivering solutions to customer
  • Strong decision making, and problem-solving, communication, and writing skills
